Terms of Service

1 Introduction

Sky Devbot ("we," "us," "our," or the "Bot") is a Discord bot and companion application designed to provide community, moderation, engagement, and utility features to Discord servers that choose to add it. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sky Devbot, including the bot itself, any associated commands or interactions, and any website or informational pages published in connection with it (collectively, the "Services").

Sky Devbot is an independent, community-run Discord application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord Inc. References to Discord throughout these Terms refer to the third-party platform on which our Services operate.

2 Definitions

• "Bot" means the Sky Devbot Discord application, including its automated features, commands, and interactions.
• "Application" means the Bot together with any related dashboards, websites, or informational pages made available in connection with it.
• "User" means any individual who interacts with, uses, or is affected by the Bot, including through commands, messages, reactions, or presence in a Server where the Bot is active.
• "Server" means a Discord guild (server) to which the Bot has been added or invited.
• "Server Owner" means the individual or individuals with administrative control over a Server, including designated staff or moderators granted configuration permissions.
• "Services" means the Bot, the Application, and any features, functionality, or content made available through them.

3 Acceptance of Terms

By inviting, accessing, using, or otherwise interacting with Sky Devbot — whether by adding the Bot to a Server, issuing a command, or being present in a Server where the Bot operates — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use, invite, or interact with the Bot, and Server Owners should remove the Bot from their Server.

4 Eligibility

Use of Sky Devbot is subject to Discord's own eligibility requirements, including its minimum age requirements and account standing rules, as set out in Discord's Terms of Service. We do not impose any additional age requirement beyond what Discord requires. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of Discord, and by extension our Services, complies with Discord's applicable eligibility rules and any laws that apply to you.

5 Use of the Bot

You may use Sky Devbot only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its intended functionality. When using the Bot, you agree to comply with:

• the Discord Terms of Service;
• the Discord Community Guidelines;
• all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations; and
• these Terms.

Any use of the Bot that conflicts with the above is not permitted, and may result in restricted access as described in Section 8.

6 Server Owner Responsibilities

Server Owners and administrators who add Sky Devbot to their Server are responsible for:

• configuring the Bot appropriately for their community;
• selecting and assigning roles and channels used by the Bot's features;
• managing the permissions granted to the Bot and to their staff within Discord;
• using any moderation, logging, or administrative features responsibly and in good faith; and
• ensuring that their Server, its members, and its use of the Bot comply with Discord's rules and these Terms.

We are not responsible for how individual Server Owners configure or apply the Bot's features within their own communities.

7 Prohibited Activities

When interacting with Sky Devbot, you must not:

• abuse, harass, or misuse the Bot or its features;
• spam commands, messages, or interactions directed at the Bot;
• exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended behavior in the Bot;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Bot's operation or availability;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot, its data, or its underlying systems;
• attempt to circumvent restrictions, permissions, or limitations placed on your use of the Bot;
• use the Bot for malicious purposes, including malware distribution, phishing, or scraping;
• use the Bot to engage in illegal activity of any kind; or
• use the Bot in a way that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

8 Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate a User's or Server's access to Sky Devbot, in whole or in part, if we determine that the Bot has been abused, misused, or used in violation of these Terms. This may include disabling specific features, removing the Bot from a Server, or blocking specific Users from interacting with certain commands, at our discretion and without prior notice where circumstances warrant.

9 Features and Data-Dependent Systems

Many of Sky Devbot's features — including statistics tracking, moderation tools, activity logging, giveaways, staff-related systems, and server configuration — depend on the Bot processing certain Discord-related information (such as identifiers, roles, channels, or command inputs) in order to function. By using these features, you acknowledge that the Bot must process relevant Discord data as necessary to provide them. 10 Availability

Sky Devbot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or free from errors. Downtime, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, bugs, outages, Discord platform issues, or changes to features may occur from time to time, and we are not liable for any inconvenience or loss arising from such events.

11 Changes to Features

We may add, modify, disable, or remove features of Sky Devbot at any time, with or without notice, as part of the ongoing development and maintenance of the Services.

12 Third-Party Services

Sky Devbot operates on top of the Discord platform and depends on Discord's availability and API to function. The Bot may also rely on third-party hosting, infrastructure, or supporting services necessary to operate and maintain the Services. Your use of Discord itself is separately governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and policies, which apply in addition to these Terms.

13 Intellectual Property

The Sky Devbot name, branding, bot code, and any original text, graphics, or materials associated with the Application are the property of the Sky Devbot team, except where otherwise noted. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute these materials without permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to Discord's trademarks, logos, or platform, all of which remain the property of Discord Inc.

14 Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sky Devbot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the Bot will meet every expectation of every User or Server.

15 Limitation of Liability

Sky Devbot is an independently operated, community-driven Discord bot project. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed a nominal amount, as the Services are offered free of charge unless otherwise stated.

16 Termination

We may restrict or terminate your (or a Server's) access to Sky Devbot at any time, including where we believe these Terms have been violated, where the Bot has been misused, or where continued access could pose a risk to the Services, other Users, or Discord's platform integrity. Server Owners may also remove the Bot from their Server at any time by revoking its access through Discord.

17 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, features, or legal obligations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Bot after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
